Quarrion Phillips aka Que9, born and raised in Detroit, was first recognized for his love of music and his rapid grasp of lyrics at the age of one. He says his biggest musical influencers are Kendrick Lamar and Nas.
He was never shy, with big personality, known for stealing the attention at family gatherings and kid parties with his dancing and rapping, and recorded his first single at just 4 years old. He sold his first CD at shows, malls, high schools and grew his fanbase.
The natural born entertainer was an artist featured on 2012’s Keep the School’s Safe Tour, promoting non-bullying in Detroit’s high schools hosted by WJLB 97.9 FM. He is a 2X winner of Detroit’s Before They Were Stars for 2011 and 2013 and has been awarded monetary gifts, as well as trophies for his talent. He eventually went viral for his hit single "Splash" and exploded on social media under the hashtag #QueSplashChallenge at the age of 12. He then went on to perform at the 2015 Summer Jam and was part of the I Wanna See You Dance Tour.
In 2020 he started his own independent label: Strong Arm Ent which is now his musical home.
