I grew up hearing incredible virtuosos guitarists such as Joe Pass, Tal Farlow, Joe Negri, and many other greats who would perform in my hometown of Pittsburgh. As well, my mother, grandmother and great-grandmother were all highly accomplished professional organists/pianists/composers/educators, so my ears and imagination have been inspired by listening to them work and practice, as long as I can remember. These experiences led me to studying guitar at Berklee College of Music, where I am, many years later, the Assistant Chair of Guitar.
I believe that living life as an artist is a cherished gift I've been given. That gift comes in the form of performing, touring, and recording with artists such as: Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, Bruce Gertz, Anat Cohen, David Krakauer, Jim Ridl, Richard Bona, Jack Wilkins, Frank Vignola, and all my kindred spirits that have worked in my projects: Ian Froman, Ron Oswanski, Shingo Okudaira, and Harvie S, to name a few!
My joy is in sharing my music here with you all, and also through my work as an educator with Truefire, Berklee College of Music, and any venue that will have me as a guest. I hope you will enjoy the content shared here to develop your gifts of the experience of music and love of the guitar and creativity.
